With a career spanning over 24 years, Jay has mentored hundreds of musicians in styles ranging from rock and pop to classical, jazz, and acoustic. His approach is anything but ordinary: he designs custom programs to fit each student’s goals and interests. If you’re having fun, you’re learning—that’s the philosophy Jay brings to every lesson.
Musical Background
Jay’s been rocking out on the guitar for almost three decades, performing with bands and making music his entire life. He’s a University of Windsor grad with an honours degree in classical guitar and composition, bringing serious chops and creative flair to everything he does.

Beyond teaching, Jay is a powerhouse music producer and songwriter, with hundreds of original tracks to his name. His songs have hit TV and movie soundtracks—including Good Boys, Grey's Anatomy, and You—and are played on major radio stations across North America, like Sirius Radio and CBC. Jay’s not just a solo artist—he’s also the driving force behind Twin Rains, a band known for electrifying performances and two killer albums.
